Bishop Picture

Dr. Donnie N. McGriff, the Pastor of Christ Temple Apostolic Church, in San Diego, California, an anointed man of God, chosen after God’s on Heart. He is the fifth child of twelve children born to Pastor and Sister S. W. McGriff, Sr. ( both deceased ) and the devoted husband of First Lady Shirley J. McGriff, since February 17, 1962, and the proud father of six children. Donnie N. McGriff, Jr. Kimberly Y. Jones, husband (Elder Charlie Jones), DeNedra D. Bowdan, husband (Kenneth Bowdan), Dwight N. McGriff, Cassandra L. Roy, husband (Kenneth Roy), Shirley Dionne Hubbard, (Curtis Hubbard), (20) grandchildren, and (3) great grandchildren.

Dr. McGriff was born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, saved at the age of fifteen, graduated from Phoenix Union High School, served in the United States Navy for six years. United with the Greater Apostolic Faith Temple Church, where he and his family served for 22 years under the late Bishop John Caldwell, where he was called to the ministry in 1969. Served under the late Bishop Charles L. Taylor, and was assistant Pastor for 5 years.

He graduated from Aenon Bible College in 1974, Ordained by the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World in 1975. Pastor and founder of Christ Temple Apostolic Church 1982. In 1988 he united with the World Won for Christ Ministries International, where he served under Bishop Wayne S. Davis for 5 years and was elevated to District Elder, Regional Elder and than ultimately consecrated as Bishop into the World Won for Christ Ministries International.

After the death of the late Bishop Wayne S. Davis, the Presiding Bishop of the WWFCMI, Bishop McGriff reestablished his fellowship with the PAW in 1993, and was consecrated District Elder by the late Bishop Robert W. McMurray, of the California Hawaii District Council, where our new Diocesan Bishop Henry L. Johnson, re-appointed him.

In 1986, Doctor McGriff’s first book was published, titled “Your New Life”, and November 1999, his second book published, “Don’t Mix Your Stuff With God’s Stuff”, A teaching book on Biblical giving, December 2006 his third book titled The Supportive Ministries of helps for the 21st Century Church. He is an ardent student of Eschatology, a Bible Teacher, and Certified in Anger Management, license Marriage and Family Christian Counselor, Member of American Association of Christian Counselors.

Dr. McGriff graduated from the University of Biblical Studies and Seminary, where he received his Bachelor of Theology, and Master of Arts in Pastoral Christian Counseling. He earned both his Doctor of Divinity and Doctor of Christian Education and Administration, from the International Apostolic University, where a Charter was granted to CTAC to open the doors of their own satellite campus, known as the International Apostolic University Of Southern California, whereas, it is accredited University by Accrediting Commission International for Schools, Colleges, and Theological Seminaries.
